She was born on November the 2nd, 1996 in New York City. Her parents come from Guinea and she started playing basketball at the age of 11. She got a scholarship from the University of Connecticut, participated in three NCAA Final Fours and graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor and a Master of Science in Sport Management. She is currently playing professional basketball in Bembibre in Spanish city of Leon, for Liga Femenina. She is the founder of the nonprofit organization “Women And Kids Empowerment” (“W.A.K.E.”), that educates, equips, and empowers young girls through sport, education, and social entrepreneurship works. She is also the author of the child book “A Basketball Game on Wake Street”, which describes a group of girls from diverse backgrounds and possess unique abilities to engage in a fun basketball game. She is an International Public Speaker, a basketball camp’s host (in USA, Europe, Africa, Asia) and a 2021 “Forbes 30 under 30” Honoree.
