My life in Turkey was pure fun. Kids must laugh and have fun. Turkish people are hospitable and caring in nature and I grew up in such an environment, That’s why my whole neighborhood and community was my family.
Man, I will never forget those cooking smells. When my mother cooked I wanted to taste what was in the pot and devour it.

He was born in Zurich, Switzerland. on May 20th 1992. He played in Turkish club Fenerbahce’s youth team from 2006 to 2008 and in the men’s team for the 2008-2009 season, before moving to the United States of America. He played for Stoneridge Preparatory High School in California and decided to attend the University of Kentucky basketball team. But the NCAA declared him ineligible because of former benefits from Fenerbahce. On June 2011, Utah selected him with the 3rd overall pick in the NBA Draft. The Jazz traded him to Oklahoma City on February 2015 and the Thunder moved him to the New York Knicks on September 2017, in the trade that sent Carmelo Anthony to Oklahoma City. He signed with the Portland TrailBlazers on February 2019 and on July 2019 he moved to the Boston Celtics. On November 2020 he returned to the Blazers.
