He was born on January 26th 1994 in Bronx, New York. He started playing basketball in Middletown High School. He attended Quinnipiac for his first two college years. Then he transferred to Kennesaw State University, where, in 2015-2016 season, he was named the Newcomer of the Year in the ASUN Conference, averaging 18,7 points, 5,6 rebounds and 2,7 assists per game. In 2016-2017, his 21,2 points per game made him the first Kennesaw State player in history to be named First-Team-All-ASUN. Ray started his professional career with Czech team Nymburk, winning the Czech league title and Cup and the league MVP honors. On June 2018 he played for the Utah Jazz NBA Summer League team and a few days later he joined Euroleague’s powerhouse Maccabi Tel Aviv. On February 2019 he moved on loan terms to French Le Mans. On July 2019 he played for the Boston Celtics NBA Summer League team and the next month he signed for AEK Athens Basketball Club. He played for the Turkish club Petkim Spor in the 2020-2021 season and in July of 2021 he signed for Promitheas Patras.
