He was born on April 27th 1964 in Athens and played basketball for Estia Filias. After working as a journalist, he coached the women teams of Paleo Faliro and Sporting. He worked twice in Panellinios men’s team, leading to the A2 and A1 promotions respectively and helping the Kypseli’ team to return to the First Division in 2004. He also coached Apollon Patras, Esperos and Peristeri. He was an assistant to Panagiotis Giannakis in Olympiacos from 2008 to 2010, winning the Greek Cup in 2010, the same season the “reds” reached the Euroleague final. He has been a national coach of the U16, U18 and U21 Greek teams, winning the silver medal in the 2005 U21 World Championship in Argentina and the bronze medal in the 2013 U16 European Championship in Ukraine. He then coached Proteas Voulas and in March 2017 he moved to Al Sadd of Qatar, as head coach. He signed as an assistant to Li Quiping for the Shanghai Sharks, in September of 2019 and has been the Chinese team's head coach since January of the same year.
