Dani Spiliotis
She was born on May 7th 1992 and grew up in Long Island, New York. Her Greek-American family is originally from Greek island Kefalonia and her grandfather, one of 16 siblings, moved to the United States of America at the age of 16. Her grandmother was from Ikaria island and they were the first couple to get married in the Greek church in New York. Dani played high school basketball at Port Jefferson High and transferred to the Stony Brook School, where she lived on campus. In May 2014 she earned a Bachelor of Arts, Worship Arts and Music from Cedarville University in Cedarville Ohio, where she was the captain for the Women’s Basketball for four years and the recipient of the Most Improved Player. In May 2018 she earned a Master of Arts in Counseling, Mental Health and Wellness from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. From 2014 to 2019, Dani also played in Greek basketball Women’s top division with Terpsithea, Niki Lefkada, Proteas Voulas and Esperides while coaching clubs' youth and junior teams. From September 2019 she served as an assistant coach for the Women’s basketball team of Dartmouth College, in Hanover, New Hampshire, responsible for post player development and in-game defensive tracking and in August 2020 she returned to Greece to play for Niki Lefkadas.
