Joe Arlauckas
He was born on July 20th 1965 in Rochester, New York, with a Lithuanian descent. After graduating from the Niagara college on 1987, he played nine games in the NBA with the Sacramento Kings, who drafted him in the fourt round with the 74th overall pick. On 1988 he moved to Italy for Snaidero Caserta winning the Italian Cup, before his long sting in Spain with Caja Ronda, Taugres (now Baskonia-won the Spanish Cup on 1993) and Real Madrid. He retired on 2000 after playing in Greece with AEK Athens (1998-1999) and Aris Thessaloniki (1999-2000), having won the Euroleague on 1995, the Saporta Cup on 1997 and the Spanish league on 1994 with Real. On 1996 we won the Euroleague’s top scorer award. Besides his current role as Euroleague ambassador and sports commentator for Euroleague TV, he is the ambassador for the Navarino Challenge, which is held every autumn in Messinia.

That efficiency was my main concern. All I cared was to win and have a high shooting percentage. I didn’t care if I score 10 or 30. I wanted to do it with the less possible shots.
